EIA Lowers Forecast for US Oil Supply, Demand

The EIA releases its monthly Short Term Energy Outlook, where it lowers its forecast for average 2020 US oil production to 11.6M bpd vs a month-ago forecast of 11.7M. But it also sees US oil and liquid fuel consumption this year at 18.1M bpd vs 18.3 a month ago. "Reduced economic activity related to the COVID-19 pandemic has caused changes in energy supply and demand patterns in 2020, particularly for petroleum and other liquid fuels," EIA says.
